Walking back home from the city center Darrel was reminded of how he’s ‘not in Kansas anymore’. It seemed like every small street he looked down, children were playing soccer. On one of the busier side streets, older boys were chasing the soccer ball down the hill (someone failed to block a shot). In Prishtina there is one Jewish cemetery and young boys had hung their jackets on the grave stone makers and were busy ‘kicking the ball’ around the many obstacles in their way. The only thing that stops the men watching ‘the football’ on television is the frequent power outages that happen in the evenings, mornings, afternoons, and . . . (I think you get the point). Darrel has been trying to verse himself on the scores, teams, and players. Messi is not how Darrel leaves the bedroom, Messi is one of the best players in the world if not the best.
Church Life
The Boyds continue to host a Tuesday evening home group. Faculty, staff members, and visitors from outside the PHS umbrella attend. The Focus on the Family ‘That the World May Know’ series has been greatly appreciated by all.
Darrel and Cindy attended a combined churches of Kosovo Easter morning service here in Prishtina. There were over 400 in attendance. Someone made the comment “that represents just about the total number of Christians in the country”. It was great to see the combined worship, a little picture of what the undivided heaven will be like. After the service the Fellowship of the Saviour (Team Expansion church plant under John and Ruth Chesnut’s direction) came to the Boyd’s home for a time of worship, Lord’s Supper, and shared fellowship dinner.
PHS
• Currently there are 108 students. Over the past two weeks we have had parent/ prospective student visits almost every day. Word is starting to spread through social networks, and prospects of attendees looks promising for next fall.
• Darrel has 67 students daily in his Physical Education classes and 4 beginning guitar students.
• Cindy has six math classes and tries to fit in research in the middle of six class preps and grading.
• Christian Development Fund has approved a loan so the much needed gymnasium and additional classrooms can be built. Minor details of transfer paperwork have held the loan up briefly. Construction and salaries have been on hold for the past four months pending the final transfer.
• Principal Don Tingle is continually trying to recruit more teachers. For more information write to: donalds_tingle@hotmail.com.


Prayer Requests
Christ-like influence and direction continue to be given to the students.
More church plants can be planted.
More teachers can be recruited to come to PHS (especially in Math & Science)
Anna Thompson (Darrel and Cindy’s oldest daughter is expecting in July) 
Rachel Ahlmann (Darrel and Cindy’s youngest daughter is expecting in Sept) 
Sarah(middle daughter) & Gabe’s son Julian turned one year old and is walking. 
Darrel and Cindy’s travel plans for this summer to raise needed financial support.
Departing Prishtina June 11th 5 pm, arriving in Minneapolis MN June 12th 9:25 pm
